Intimate, painful and supportive, Anick Arsenault's poetry opens a window to shout or let a breeze pass through, plays with light and shadow, uproots herself and wishes to anchor herself back to the earth; mother, friend, lover, she wraps herself up to keep her inner battles warm, but without refusing to open her coat.
Habitantes is a woman's resilience, finding beauty in unlikely places, falling, getting up again, overflowing with love in spite of everything, not allowing pernicious enemies to fructify to the point of quarrelling; it is a strong and gentle kiss.
