Workshop Journal
In the studio of Celia Perrin Sidarous - Uniting through photography
We were in Celia's studio while she was working on the images for the Flotsam exhibition, presented at the Bradley Ertaskiran Gallery last March. We took the opportunity to discuss her practice, her creative process, intuition and encounters.
Caring for our clothes to prolong their life
When you love a piece of clothing, you want it to last as long as possible. Here we give you our advice and tips, via a video clip and an article, on how to care for clothes while preserving their quality and being as gentle as possible for the environment.
Meeting with Atelier Universel
Atelier Universel is an artisanal printing and bookbinding studio, a well-kept secret from the industrial neighborhood of old Rosemont. Since 2016, Stéphanie St-Jean Aubre and Manuel Mineau have been working to offer a personalized service to a wide range of artists, entrepreneurs and artisans.
Cheville, what binds us: meeting with the artists behind the exhibition
I went to meet Sophia Borowska and Teresa Dorey, respectively weaving artist and ceramic artist, who exhibited at galerie atelier b for the Cheville, exhibition last September. We discussed their practices and inspirations, but also feminism, precariousness and the importance of community.
Recognizing the quality of a garment
Responsible consumption means buying less and buying better. When we talk about clothes and their value, we are often told at the workshop that it is difficult to measure the quality of a garment. We know that a garment made here is worth more, but how else can we distinguish good quality from bad? Where do we start to determine if a garment is worth the investment?
Exhibition Des formes poussent by Marjolaine Bourdua
Exhibition Positions sur la matière
The artists presented in this group exhibition at galerie atelier b put forward works based on textile work which, although anchored in so-called traditional processes, go beyond them and propose a vision that is articulated around contemporary experiences.

Why do we need to encourage the local economy?
I wrote this text in 2019 when my brother Jonathan started his digital food market project, Maturin. It provides a sales platform for local food producers, and his work resonates with that of Catherine and me. The local economy seems to be a family affair back home. I think it's more than topical to share it with you today!
A meeting with Atelier CUB
The Tonight lamps from atelier CUB are now available at our Mile End boutique. For the occasion, we share with you an interview I did with this designer duo for the Stories Mtl website where you can learn more about their story and their work.
Our favourite spots in Mile End (and nearby)
Even before the shop in Mile End, Catherine and I were already regular visitors. We’d bike up from Verdun on weekends and spend the day exploring the bustling streets and stores. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the past ten years, but that same vibrant feeling is still there.
