zero waste production

Our mission at the workshop is to reduce our environmental footprint, and this involves managing our production waste. In addition to optimizing fabric use by making small accessories and baby clothes from our scraps, we are implementing a circular economy project. This project allows us to use the "scraps of scraps" and prevent approximately one ton of textile waste per year from ending up in landfills.

We transform scraps into clay and create products for the home; you can already find mobiles from this project in the "Atelier B Objects" section of our online shop. Several branches of the project are still under development, including the small-batch production of coat hangers and a more conceptual version of the project, where sculptural objects are presented as installations. We invite you to read our blog post , which explains the origins of this project we are so proud of.
Thanks to Recyc-Québec and SODEC for their support. Thanks also to Innofibre and Atelier Retailles for their collaborations.

Above is a graphic showing all the processes put in place for circularity at atelier b. We invite you to consult this Recyc-Québec video which presents our recycling project.
