Between savagery and domestication, magical realism and prosaicism, the poems in this issue of Estuaire multiply the semantic layers of the relationships between humans and the beasts that inhabit our homes. Animals move, they swarm, they crawl: in both physical and metaphorical places, the movements are continuous. The review space is no exception. The poem, a literary laboratory, thus appeared to us as an ideal place to explore the limits and virtualities of our affections for these house animals, an affection that also highlights our own shortcomings and the flaws in our solidarity with a living being that goes beyond the walls of our home.
The cover is a work of Kanako Hatsuya - Dogs and flower (2017)
Number of pages: 210
