Pattern TN31 Parka by Merchant & Mills
The TN31 pattern is a reinterpretation of the classic parka coat. Lined or unlined, it's perfect for all seasons. Side pockets, front welt pockets, rear ventilation and drawstring waist (optional).
Skill level - experienced.
This is a paper pattern and includes sizes 6 to 18. All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.
Suitable fabrics
Waxed cotton (lined or unlined), tweed, woollens, cotton canvas, waterproof cottons or linens. Using a fabric such as waxed cotton will allow it to retain its structural shape, but it will look just as good in a softer fabric such as tencel twill.
For the lining: brushed cotton, cotton poplin, or a medium-weight viscose or acetate lining.
Trim required
1 x matching thread, 6 x buttons measuring between 17 and 22 mm, 2 metres of cord of your choice, .75 metre of fusible interfacing (for the lined version only) and 15 cm of ribbing for the neckline (choose a ribbing fabric that stretches by half, i.e. a 10 cm piece that stretches to 15 cm).

about our fabrics
For the past 12 years, we've been experimenting and refining our processes to work with the best natural fibers available. We select our materials for their durability, comfort, aesthetic properties, and the conditions in which they were produced. We prioritize suppliers located near our workshop. Many of our jerseys and knits are made in Canada, while some woven fabrics come from the United States. For more specialized materials, we work with Japan and certain European countries (mainly Italy and northern countries). It is essential for us to ensure that workers' conditions are fair, and the best way to be sure is to choose countries that have a charter of individual rights that resembles ours!
delivery
Our shipments are made from our Mile End (Montreal) workshop within an average of 3 to 5 business days. In Canada, delivery is free for orders of $150 before taxes and more. The delivery rate is fixed for Quebec and Ontario: $10 and for the rest of Canada: $15. For local bike delivery in Montreal, the fee is $7 for orders under $150. By entering your shipping address, you will know if the local delivery option is available to you.
