This botanical printing kit is a great way to learn about the pleasures of using natural dyeing. A meeting with the Quebec territory and several dye plants cultivated by hand in the Kamouraska region.

The set includes:

an illustrated explanatory booklet.
- a link to an explanatory video.
- a 11" X 60" mordanted silk scarf.
- 5 tinctorial plants grown in Kamouraska.
- iron sulfate to modify your colours .
-rope and parchment paper.

Creative project lasting 2 hours.
Level of difficulty: beginner - 5 to 105 years old.
Additional material needed: cauldron, daisy and containers.

* For children, the cooking step and the manipulation of the iron sulphate require the supervision of a parent.

Scarf: 100% silk.

Tinctorial plants: Cosmos (cosmos sulphureus), hollyhock (alcea rosea), scabious (scabiosa atropurpurea), tagetes (patula erecta), rudbeckia (rudbeckia hirta).

In order to preserve the colors as long as possible, it is important to keep your fabric away from the sun.

Wash by hand with a neutral ph soap. Do not hang outside to dry, prefer a place inside where it will be sheltered from the sun.

Dahlia Milon Textile is an artisanal workshop specializing in natural dyes and a tinctorial plant garden located in the Kamouraska region.

A project with the mission of increasing the accessibility of quality and local tinctorial plants and related materials. Dahlia also wishes to transmit her knowledge and actively contribute to the change of the textile industry to make it more sustainable.
