An oversized coat with a folded collar and three patch pockets in the front. The September coat is adaptable to all seasons, depending on the fabric chosen.

Skill level: intermediate.

This is a paper pattern, available in two sizes: 6 to 18 and 18 to 28. All seam allowances are 1.5 cm and included on the pattern, unless otherwise noted.

Suitable fabrics

Waxed cotton, medium to heavy weight linen, 7 to 12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier fabric will give a more structured coat. For the double, we recommend a cotton voile or poplin or a lightweight linen.

Trim required

1 x matching thread, 5 x buttons ( 2cm - 3/4″) and 1.3 yards of interfacing.
