Peuple de verre
In Montreal, where housing has become a luxury, Sidonie, a rebellious journalist, sheds light on life in homeless camps and investigates strange disappearances. Until she finds herself on the other side of the mirror, in a place outside the world where those now known as ‘the homeless’ are housed. In this institution, where residents must perform work for which they may (or may not) be paid and where they may (or may not) be held captive, Sidonie's only escape is writing. Both an obligation and a space of freedom, her notebook becomes an opportunity for her to examine the absurdities of her present, revisit the turmoil of her past and discover, between constraint and evasion, the full potential of invention.
Through urban legends, propaganda, fake news and mystification, power crushes, rebellion rumbles, and fiction prevails over everything. In fierce and passionate language, Catherine Leroux multiplies narrative layers and surprises, playing with her readers as much as with her role as an author. Funny, profound, and relentless, Peuple de verre is a unique exploration of the notions of home, survival, lies, and truth, and an exuberant plea for imagination.

about our fabrics
For the past 12 years, we've been experimenting and refining our processes to work with the best natural fibers available. We select our materials for their durability, comfort, aesthetic properties, and the conditions in which they were produced. We prioritize suppliers located near our workshop. Many of our jerseys and knits are made in Canada, while some woven fabrics come from the United States. For more specialized materials, we work with Japan and certain European countries (mainly Italy and northern countries). It is essential for us to ensure that workers' conditions are fair, and the best way to be sure is to choose countries that have a charter of individual rights that resembles ours!
