Mending workshop

$55.00

Date

In this workshop led by Maxim, you’ll learn the basics of how to repair your own clothes. You’ll have the chance to discover the basics of hand sewing as well as various techniques for mending clothes with holes, all while having access to a variety of tools. The techniques presented will be decorative and visible, inspired by Sashiko and patchwork. Whether you’re at home, in a café, or in a park, you’ll be ready to take care of any holes that pop up!

You can bring a garment with a hole to use for practice. For this workshop, avoid knits and jersey fabrics (T-shirts) and prioritize woven and heavier materials (shirts, pants, jackets, etc.). No tools are needed, everything is provide, but if you have a small sewing kit feel free to bring it!

about our fabrics

For the past 12 years, we've been experimenting and refining our processes to work with the best natural fibers available. We select our materials for their durability, comfort, aesthetic properties, and the conditions in which they were produced. We prioritize suppliers located near our workshop. Many of our jerseys and knits are made in Canada, while some woven fabrics come from the United States. For more specialized materials, we work with Japan and certain European countries (mainly Italy and northern countries). It is essential for us to ensure that workers' conditions are fair, and the best way to be sure is to choose countries that have a charter of individual rights that resembles ours!

delivery

Our shipments are made from our Mile End (Montreal) workshop within an average of 3 to 7 business days. In Canada, delivery is free for orders of $175 before taxes and more.
