about Field Kit

Field Kit is a perfumery studio based in Calgary and founded by Jemma Hayes Couture. She uses her deep attunement to scent to shape her understanding of the world around her. Having led a life marked by travel, she discovered in perfumes a way of anchoring herself in a place and in time. In the absence of permanence, scents have become a constant.

Field Kit was born out of a desire to translate these impressions into functional and durable objects that enhance everyday life. What began as a personal olfactory exploration has evolved into a practice rooted in craftsmanship, materiality and the telling of stories. Each fragrance is crafted slowly and with care to blend seamlessly into a space, thereby becoming an integral part of the way that space is inhabited, experienced and remembered.
