Attendez de m'enterrer pour chanter

Attendez de m'enterrer pour chanter is the first title in the new Adelphe collection, which welcomes hybrid narratives and plural voices, friends of the poem.

A father dies in Algeria. On the other side of the ocean, a ghostly little girl receives a box filled with his letters. In the form of posthumous correspondence, she questions the fragments of her multiple identity. How many people are talking in her belly? Who is she digesting? The narrator is split into two. Time becomes dislocated. Two unknown sisters, "nebulae, women of the in-between, composite forms", meet in the imaginary world of writing to finally learn how to outwit their heritage.

Attends de m'enterrer pour chanter is a poetic narrative in which the voices of a filiation engulfed in the silences and violence accumulated over generations intermingle. This hybrid book also includes works by the author, who superimposes sculptures on photographs of Algeria, guardians of care and the possible metamorphosis of reality.

"Dad, so that my grief can turn into sparks, I'm chasing away your ectoplasm, pushing away your weirdness. I ask for a beauty of apparition, a becoming-lantern. It is impossible for me to remain faithful to your story. Know that I will not betray your secrets, but that I will reveal their outlines. I will protect your smallest dimensions, our common imposture, our antecedents, the chorus of our spinners. I will preserve your native land, the guarantor of forgiveness. In it, my childhood wishes will be released, reinvigorated."

about our fabrics

For the past 12 years, we've been experimenting and refining our processes to work with the best natural fibers available. We select our materials for their durability, comfort, aesthetic properties, and the conditions in which they were produced. We prioritize suppliers located near our workshop. Many of our jerseys and knits are made in Canada, while some woven fabrics come from the United States. For more specialized materials, we work with Japan and certain European countries (mainly Italy and northern countries). It is essential for us to ensure that workers' conditions are fair, and the best way to be sure is to choose countries that have a charter of individual rights that resembles ours!
