Jules visits his father, Denis, an unpredictable old punk, to give him an enigmatic little box. After a ten-year silence, their reunion is orchestrated around a well-watered spaghetti. But Denis wants to dictate the rules of the game and the tension mounts, revealing the reasons for this closed-door meeting that soon turns into a nightmare. Carried by the songs of The Cure, among the puddles of urine and the debris of the television, Jules will put the final touch to this crescendo of violence which will reveal her sometimes victim, sometimes executioner.
Between cruelty and nostalgia, Les pénitences resurrects the childhood of two girls under the control of a dangerous adult with arbitrary laws. This feverishly written thriller, where disturbing detail and imminent threat pulsate in the lavender glow of VHS tapes, shows the mental, emotional and sexual ramifications of abusive relationships and poverty.

The shipping rate is fixed for Quebec and Ontario at 10$ and for the rest of Canada, 15$. For local delivery in Montreal, the fee is 7$ for orders under 150$. By entering your shipping address, you will know if the local delivery option is available to you.
Exchanges are accepted within 10 days of receipt of the package. A notice must be sent to info@atelier-b.ca to obtain return authorization. Items must be unworn and the package must include your name and order number. Shipping costs for the return are at the customer's expense and atelier b will pay for the return of the second item. A credit may be applied, no refund.
