Vest No.03 by Madeleine Muir x atelier b
Vest from the Patchwork Graphique collection, a project developed in collaboration with Madeleine Muir. Using our production offcuts, Madeleine explored colour combinations to design a series of unique and colourful vests and tote bags.
Unisex jacket, size medium, with drawstrings at the front and rounded hem. Drawstrings can be unstitched on request.
This jacket is inspired by the work of Sarah Sullivan Sherrod, a textile artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her practice brings together weaving, painting and colour theory to create works that celebrate play and improvisation. For the garment, Madeleine chose to incorporate as many colours as possible to explore the playfulness and experimentation of colour blocking. The final result reflects both the joy of discovery and the potential of assembling textile remnants in a variety of textures and colours.

about Madeleine Muir
Patchwork Graphique is a limited series of vests and tote bags designed by Madeleine Muir. For several months now, she has been experimenting with our textile remnants to create graphic and colourful compositions. The collection highlights the materials and values of atelier b, reinterpreted from a new angle.
Madeleine's practice bridges the gap between illustration, textile processes and painting, bringing together different mediums through a colourful narrative inspired by artistic currents such as the Bauhaus, her favourite. She explores colour blocking and typography to create graphic compositions that combine aesthetic clarity and narrative depth.
about our fabrics
For the past 12 years, we've been experimenting and refining our processes to work with the best natural fibers available. We select our materials for their durability, comfort, aesthetic properties, and the conditions in which they were produced. We prioritize suppliers located near our workshop. Many of our jerseys and knits are made in Canada, while some woven fabrics come from the United States. For more specialized materials, we work with Japan and certain European countries (mainly Italy and northern countries). It is essential for us to ensure that workers' conditions are fair, and the best way to be sure is to choose countries that have a charter of individual rights that resembles ours!
